Venezuela Travel

Just 75 miles from the coast of Venezuela, Los Roques is a wonderful haven of green and crystal clear waters and white sand, an archipelago of 350 islands, islets, rocks, atolls and shoals of sand at low tide leaves exposed coral formations. Almost completely unknown until a few years ago, Los Roques is open now to the world of tourism. The only inhabited island is Gran Roque, where are located the facilities called posadas, simple houses of fishermen and refurbished with all the essential comforts. The posadas are a few rooms – the largest not exceed 10/12 rooms – and a dedicated service to the customer. We recall that Los Roques is a National Marine Park and, although an incomparable beauty, may present some inconvenience to travelers accustomed to the comforts of modern holidays. This holiday is therefore recommended to those who have an excellent spirit of adaptability and to favor a sea in a unique and extraordinary at the expense of giving up some of the modern conveniences. Another little discomfort might be the presence of small insects common in tropical environments, in Los Roques accentuated by the presence of a dense vegetation of mangroves therefore recommend purchase repellent. The presence of these insects is not synonymous with poor hygiene, but their elimination is almost impossible.
